Little Sliders
Thursday, September 24, 2009

Football is back and by special request (wink, Louie) I'm featuring my Little Sliders. They're so juicy, I love to make a tray of these for the game.

You can also prepare the burgers on your grill or in the broiler, just take care not to overcook. I also like to use a few different cheeses--such as American, Swiss, or Pepper Jack, for variety.

1 egg, beaten

2 tablespoons dill pickle relish

2 tablespoons ketchup

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons prepared mustard

1/4 cup quick-cooking oats

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

1 pound ground beef

sliced cheese

10 Hawaiian dinner rolls, split

mustard, mayo, ketchup,tomatoes--if desired

dill pickle spears

In a large bowl, combine the first eight ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 10 patties.

Fry on a hot griddle for about 3 minutes; flip and fry for 2 minutes more.
Immediately place cheese on burgers; place on rolls. Serve with pickle spears.
